Stevens Bowls in the Nittany Lion Cup

11.18.25

This past Saturday, on November 8, 2025, the Stevens bowling team competed in the Nittany Lion Cup at Berks Lanes in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania. This tournament consisted of four team games and 5 baker games. The pattern used was Deadman's Curve, a medium-length pattern that is fairly easy to bowl on, resulting in higher scores across the board. For this tournament, we brought our Varsity, JV1, and JV2 teams.
Varsity bowled well with notable games of 243 by Andrew Branco, 227 by Evan Chin, 225 by Cameron Folgore, and a 225 during their baker games. Their performance landed them 6th out of 12 teams in the varsity division. JV1 also bowled well with high games of 210 by Luna Cusick, 182 by Chris Almuete, 181 by Sam Shylam, and 205 during their baker games. Their playing placed them 5th in the JV division. Finally, JV2 struggled a bit during the oil breakdown, but still managed to get high games of 208 by Steven Perkins, 188 by Alexander Kozak, 179 by Conner Volpicello, and 145 during their baker games. Their performance placed them 8th in the JV division.
Despite our performance, we did not place as high as we wanted to, but we do still have one more tournament to end our semester with a bang.
