This past Sunday, on 10/26/2025, the Stevens Bowling Team competed at the Shadow Hawk Challenge held at Strathmore Lanes in Aberdeen County, NJ. This tournament consisted of 25 baker games. For those who do not know what the baker format is, it is when 5 bowlers combine to bowl one game and bowl each frame in a chosen order. The oil pattern used was slightly shorter than the one used in the tournament the day before, which made placing shots slightly easier with the slippery lanes. For this tournament, we brought our Varsity, JV1, and JV2 teams to compete.
Varsity played extremely well, having great high games of 237, 200, and 199. Their exceptional performance placed them 1st overall, winning a trophy! JV1 also played very well, having high games of 189, 182, and 176. JV1 also placed 1st in the JV division and won a trophy as well! JV 2 bowled well, having high games of 173, 151, and 151. Their performance placed them 3rd in the JV Division.
Overall, all of our teams bowled amazingly, and we hope we can keep our heads held high for the next tournaments to come.
