Stevens Competes in EIBT #4

01.29.25

This past Sunday on 1/26/25, the Stevens Bowling Team attended EIBT #4 at Parkway Lanes in Elmwood Park, NJ. This tournament was comprised of 3 team individual games and 10 baker games. The oil pattern used was the 2023 ISC Men's Singles ADDISON pattern, a tough medium-length pattern that gave bowlers a tiny margin of error if they wanted to play well. We brought out Men's Varsity and JV teams to this competition.
Varsity played well, having a total strike percentage of 43.1% and a spare percentage of 58%. They had singles high games of 234 by Evan Chin, and 228 by Mauro Derosa. Additionally, both players mentioned above placed 7th and 13th respectively. During the bakers section, Varsity had high games of 210, 204, and 200, while averaging 174 across the 10 baker games. With their strong efforts, Varsity placed 5th in the Varsity division. JV also fought hard, having a total strike percentage of 29.4% and a spare percentage of 55.4%. They had singles high games of 207 by Matthew Calabrese, 187 by Alexander Kozak, and 184 by Joel Simon. Furthermore, Matthew Calabrese placed 20th. In the bakers section, JV had a high game of 191. In the end, the JV team placed 5th in the JV division.
Although this tournament was very difficult, we had a lot of fun and are continuing to hold our heads high as we near the end of the season.
