This past Sunday, on 10/20/24, Stevens started their bowling season by competing in their first tournament, the EIBT #1 at Patel's Kingston Lanes in Kingston, New York. This tournament was composed of 5 team games which totaled 25 individual games. The oil pattern used for this tournament was the 2022 Men's Team USA Trials Day 4, a long oil pattern that broke down weirdly. This meant the team needed to adjust quickly and accurately to gain high scores.
In this tournament, we brought our men's varsity and junior varsity teams. The men's JV team played well with some exceptional high games of 205 by
Max Oro-Hahn, 202 by
Victoria Aldridge, and 190 by
Chris Almuete. The team's great playing placed them in the top 4 in the JV division. The men's varsity also played very well with many games around the 180 mark with some remarkably high games of 266, 221, and 214 by
Mauro Derosa and 243, 212, and 210 by
CJ Folgore. This wonderful performance placed the varsity team 5th overall. Additionally,
CJ Folgore placed 5th of all bowlers present in the tournament, winning an award for it.
Overall, the team started the season strongly and is excited to compete in more upcoming tournaments.
