Stevens Lifting Team had two members travel to Oklahoma City, OK to compete in the USAPL Collegiate Nationals! Abigail Izzo, who competed on day 1 of the event in the women's raw 52 kg division, placed 15^th in the nation, with a 300 kg total, consisting of a 100 kg squat, 72.5 kg bench press, and a 127.5 kg deadlift! Phil Peluso, who competed on day 3 in the men's raw 90 kg division placed 50^th in the nation with a 632.5 kg total, squatting 240 kg, bench pressing 150 kg, and deadlifting 250 kg! Overall, this event was a great experience for everyone on the team, as even though only two of our members were competing, everyone got to support and watch those 2 lifters compete in one of the biggest national powerlifting events of the year. Congratulations to Abigail and Phil for putting up great performances in the team's 2^nd ever collegiate nationals, and we are looking forward to sending many more of our members next year!
