The Stevens Institute of Technology men's soccer team pulled off an impressive comeback to defeat the University of Pittsburgh 3-2 in a thrilling afternoon match. Pitt struck early, finding the back of the net 15 minutes into the game and adding a second goal in the 25th minute to take a commanding 2-0 lead. However, Stevens refused to back down. Just before halftime, Andrew Lambert gave the Ducks a much-needed spark, scoring in the 40th minute to cut the deficit to 2-1 heading into the break. Coming out of halftime energized, Stevens wasted little time finding the equalizer. Anthony Esteves delivered in the second half, leveling the match and swinging the momentum fully in Stevens' favor. As the clock ticked down, Stevens continued to push forward. In the 80th minute, Dritan Xhelilaj made a brilliant run down the wing and whipped in a perfect cross. Esteves rose to meet it, heading the ball past the keeper to complete the comeback and secure a dramatic 3-2 victory for the Ducks. It was a true team effort from Stevens, showing resilience and quality to battle back and take home an exciting win.
