Hadi Safari Katesari- Head Coach

Dr. Hadi Safari Katesari was appointed as the head coach of the Stevens Men's Soccer Club at Stevens Institute of Technology in December 2021, and he is now entering his third season in this role.
Coach Hadi has a 8-4-3 record and has led the Ducks to 2023 NIRAS Region 1 (New York Metropolitan Division) Men's League Championship which resulted to invitation to the 2023 NIRSA Regional Club Soccer Tournament. His team's impressive journey also includes a third-place finish in the NIRAS Region 1 Men's League in 2022. He also led the ducks to Virginia Club Soccer State Tournament in 2022 and Capital Area Soccer Association (CASA) League in 2024.
Coach Hadi earned his National "C" of U.S. Soccer Coaching License in 2021. He was an Assistant Coach at Marion Soccer Club in Illinois from 2019 to 2020 and also made notable coaching contributions internationally, as the Head Coach of Varash Football Club and Khachekin Football Association in Iran from 2012 to 2016.
Hadi played soccer for various teams, including Malavan Youth Athletic and Cultural Club, and Southern Illinois Adult Soccer. Additionally, he played for varsity soccer teams during his academic years.
Dr. Hadi Safari Katesari is also a Teaching Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Stevens Institute of Technology. He earned his PhD in Mathematics with a focus on Statistics from Southern Illinois University in 2021. Prior to that, he completed his Master of Science degree in Actuarial Sciences in 2012, and his undergraduate studies in Statistics in 2010.
