The Stevens Institute of Technology men's club volleyball teams hosted NJIT in a competitive home match up, with both programs agreeing ahead of time to play a fixed number of sets—five for the A teams and three for the B teams—regardless of match outcome.
The A team delivered a hard-fought performance across all five sets. Stevens opened with a 25–21 win, dropped two tight sets (23–25, 23–25), then responded with a 25–19 fourth set before finishing strong with a 25–22 win in the fifth. While Stevens took three of the five sets, the format ensured a full five-set run for both sides.
The B team competed in a scheduled three-set match, falling 20–25, 21–25, and 24–26. The final set was especially close, showing the group's ability to push NJIT deep into extended play.
Overall, the agreed-upon format allowed both Stevens teams to maximize reps and competition, highlighting the A team's resilience and the B team's continued growth.
