Ducks Shine Bright in Scranton with Dominant Performance

Stevens Men's Club Volleyball traveled to University of Scranton on November 1st for a full day of competition, highlighted by the debut of the Stevens C team, which competed in its first tournament in program history.

Stevens A opened the day against Saint Joseph's from Saint Joseph's University in a close three-set match, falling 25–21 in the first set, winning the second 25–23, and narrowly losing the third 15–12. They bounced back strongly against ESU A from East Stroudsburg University, sweeping the match with wins of 25–16, 25–20, and 15–9. Stevens A then faced Scranton A, dropping the first set 25–17 before rallying to win the next two 25–18 and 15–5. During the match, Aidan Krinic delivered an impressive run of six consecutive service aces, helping swing momentum in Stevens' favor. Later in the playoffs, Stevens A met Scranton A again in a single-set match but fell just short in a tight 26–24 loss.

Stevens B had a strong showing throughout the day. They defeated Scranton B in three sets, 25–20, 25–13, and 15–12, before earning another win against ESU B with scores of 25–18, 25–15, and 15–7. Stevens B even ended up facing the newly formed Stevens C in an in-club matchup, winning 25–19, 25–18, and 15–7. In the playoffs, Stevens B once again played Scranton B and secured another victory, taking both sets 25–18 and 25–22.

The brand new Stevens C team made its first appearance in competition and quickly picked up a victory against ESU B, winning the match 25–16, dropping the second set 25–22, and finishing with a 15–9 third-set win. Later in the day, Stevens C faced Scranton B but fell in three sets, 25–15, 25–20, and 15–3.

After a long day of matches, Stevens A finished with a 5–5 set record, Stevens B had a strong showing at 11–2 in sets, and Stevens C concluded their first tournament 2–4 in sets, gaining valuable experience in their debut competition.
