04.28.26

Stevens Men's Club Volleyball returned to action on October 11th, traveling to Rutgers University–New Brunswick for another full day of regional competition. Facing a deep and competitive field, both Stevens A and B squads battled through tight sets and strong opponents, continuing to build momentum as the season progresses.

Stevens A opened the day against Rutgers University–Newark, dropping two sets 25–17 and 25–15 against a solid opponent. They followed with a matchup against Binghamton, where they showed improvement and pushed rallies but ultimately fell 25–19 and 25–22 in a competitive contest.

The tide began to shift against Rowan University B, as Stevens A put together one of their strongest stretches of the day, taking the first set 25–17 with confident play before narrowly losing the second 25–21. They carried that energy into their final match against Temple University B, securing another convincing 25–15 first-set win before again falling just short in the second 25–21. Despite the split results, Stevens A consistently demonstrated their ability to compete and win sets against quality teams.

Stevens B continued their development against a challenging lineup, beginning with Rutgers B and falling 25–16 and 25–18. They delivered one of their most competitive performances of the day against Saint Peter's University, pushing both sets to the limit before falling 25–23 and 25–21.

The team remained resilient against Rowan A, keeping both sets close at 25–20 and 25–22, and wrapped up the day against New Jersey Institute of Technology A with scores of 25–18 and 25–19. While the results didn't fall their way, Stevens B showed clear growth, improving their level of play and gaining valuable experience against established programs.

By the end of the tournament, Stevens A finished 3–5 in sets, highlighting their ability to take sets off strong opponents, while Stevens B went 0–8, continuing to develop chemistry and confidence in just their early competitions.

Overall, the day reflected steady progress, competitive spirit, and flashes of high-level play, setting a strong foundation as both teams look ahead to future tournaments.
