Stevens Men's Club Volleyball hit the road on September 27th, taking on a full slate of regional opponents at Kutztown University in a day packed with tight sets and valuable experience.
Stevens A faced a challenging lineup and proved they could hang with anyone. They opened against Kutztown with a pair of narrow losses, 25–20 and 25–23, showing resilience from the start. Against Lehigh A, Stevens A came out firing, edging a thrilling 26–24 first set before dropping the second 25–21. The intensity continued versus Ship Red, where Stevens again stole a 26–24 opening set, only to fall just short in the second 25–22. Despite the results, every match was tightly contested, highlighting the team's competitiveness and ability to push opponents to the limit.
Stevens B took the court for their first-ever competition as a newly formed squad, marking an important milestone for the program. They battled through matches against Lehigh B, TCNJ A, and Delaware B, showing determination throughout the day. While they fell in straight sets in each contest, the experience provided a crucial foundation as the team begins to build chemistry and confidence.
By the end of the tournament, Stevens A finished 2–4 in sets, reflecting how close they were to turning matches into wins, while Stevens B went 0–6, gaining invaluable match play in their debut.
Overall, the day was defined by competitive rallies, narrow margins, and promising growth, setting the stage for both squads to build momentum heading into the rest of the season.
