Club Women's Volleyball Competes at CCSU

11.14.24

On Sunday, November 10th, Stevens Women's Club Volleyball traveled to CCSU. The tournament was a round-robin with three teams: Stevens, UConn, and Yale. Each game was three sets to 25, and the team with the most winning sets was declared the winner. The Ducks brought 10 players, so every player had the opportunity to showcase their abilities.

Stevens began the day against UConn(13-25, 9-25, 16-25). Setter Emily Liu led the team in assists and contributed 4 aces. Middle Aditi Patel had 4 kills and 2 blocks and Outside Kira Chmielewski had 3 kills and 4 digs. DS Caroline Killian had 4 digs. Sophia Zahran played outside, a position she doesn't normally play, and delivered with 8 kills and 2 blocks.

In their next and final game of the day, Stevens competed against Yale (18-25, 10-25, 12-25). Evnika Myhovych, at right side, had 4 kills and a block. Kana Abe had 8 digs and 3 aces as Libero and Jill McCoy had 4 digs at DS. Maya Meents played a set at middle and had 1 block and 1 kill.

Stevens worked hard at this tournament at CCSU and maintained positive energy throughout the day, regardless of the results.
