Stevens Women's Volleyball Tournament at Rowan University on Feb. 27th

Stevens vs. UPenn
In their first match of the day, the Ducks faced off against UPenn. Libero Kristy Chen, outside hitter Heidi Herzog, and setter Stephanie McDonough led the offense from the serving line, with one, two, and one aces, respectively. On the court, setter Stephanie McDonough commanded the offense, setting up middle blockers Karen Xu and Stephanie Ross for two kills each, outside hitter Amber Johns for three kills, and right-side hitter Dina Richards for a kill. Defensive specialists Janelle Garcia and Autumn Coleman defended the backcourt with three and two digs, respectively. Stevens split with UPenn, losing the first set 22-25 and winning the second set 25-17.
 
Stevens vs. St. Joseph's
Stevens' second opponent was St. Joseph's. Setter Stephanie McDonough recorded an impressive two aces and 11 assists for the match, setting up the offense for several kills. Outside hitter Heidi Herzog and middle blocker Karen Xu led the offense with three kills each for the match, followed by middle blocker Stephanie Ross and outside hitter Amber Johns with two each. Right-side Dina Richards also recorded a kill. Libero Kristy Chen commanded the defense with five digs, and defensive specialists Janelle Garcia and Autumn Coleman both recorded two digs. Ultimately, Stevens fell 17-25 and 26-28 to St. Joseph's, resulting in a frustrating loss for the Ducks.
 
Stevens vs. Drexel
Stevens faced Drexel in their third match of the day. Outside hitter Heidi Herzog recorded an impressive four-point service run with two aces, putting the Ducks ahead of their opponent to win the first set 25-22. Libero Kristy Chen contributed to this win with three digs, followed by defensive specialists Janelle Garcia and Autumn Coleman with one dig each. In the second set, Drexel stepped up their serving game, and the Ducks were unable to adjust. Despite middle blocker Karen Xu recording a block and two kills, middle blocker Stephanie Ross recording four kills, and outside hitter Amber Johns recording two kills, Stevens lost to Drexel in the second set 15-25. 
 
Stevens vs. Rutgers-A
For their last match of the day, Stevens faced off against Rutgers-A for the second time this season. The Ducks struggled with communication in the first set, resulting in a disappointing loss 10-25. In the second set, middle blocker Karen Xu and outside hitter Amber Johns led the defense with two kills each, followed by outside hitter Heidi Herzog and right-side hitter Dina Richards with one kill each. Setter Stephanie McDonough recorded six assists. Libero Kristy Chen led the defense with four digs, followed by defensive specialists Janelle Garcia and Autumn Coleman with one each. The Ducks played much better in the second set, but still lost 20-25.
