Stevens Falls to Fordham in Hard-Fought 4-1 Match

Stevens faced a tough challenge against Fordham on Saturday, falling 4-1 in a physical and competitive match. Fordham came out with strong pressure from the opening whistle and quickly established control of the game, scoring the first goal to take an early lead.

The match became even more challenging for Stevens in the 33rd minute, when the Ducks were reduced to 10 players following a red card for a dangerous tackle. Playing with an extra player, Fordham continued to apply pressure and capitalized on the advantage, adding two more goals before halftime. Stevens entered the break trailing 3-0.

Despite the deficit, Stevens came out with renewed energy in the second half and continued to compete. The momentum shifted when Fordham's goalkeeper was shown a red card for handling the ball outside the box, bringing both teams back to 10 players.

Stevens quickly took advantage of the change in numbers. Grant Miller found the back of the net off an assist from Padraig Flynn, cutting Fordham's lead to 3-1 and giving the Ducks renewed momentum. Stevens continued to battle for opportunities, but Fordham eventually added another goal to extend its advantage and secure the 4-1 victory.

Although the result did not go Stevens' way, the Ducks showed determination and resilience throughout a match that featured several momentum shifts. Stevens continued to compete through a difficult first half and responded with a stronger second-half performance, highlighted by Miller's goal and Flynn's assist.
