Ducks Split Doubleheader with Adelphi Behind Strong Pitching and Offensive Highlights

04.14.26

The Ducks kicked off their doubleheader against Adelphi with a gritty 4–3 victory, powered by a dominant performance on the mound from Reece Bushroe. Bushroe went the distance in a complete game effort, allowing just two earned runs while keeping Adelphi's offense in check all afternoon. His composure and command proved to be the difference in a tightly contested matchup. At the plate, Michael Konopka paced the Ducks' offense, going 2-for-4 and crossing the plate twice, providing key production in a game where every run mattered.

In the second game, the Ducks couldn't carry over the momentum, falling to Adelphi 8–3 and ultimately splitting the day. Jeremy Dolan got the start, delivering five innings of work before handing things over to Alex Orr out of the bullpen. Despite the loss, Xavier Jauregui stood out offensively, putting together an impressive 3-for-4 performance and consistently generating opportunities at the plate.

The split reflects a competitive showing from the Ducks, highlighted by strong individual performances on both sides of the ball as they continue to build consistency moving forward.
