Stevens came out strong in the first half, controlling the majority of possession and creating numerous scoring opportunities. Montclair struggled to generate chances throughout the first half. Around the 30-minute mark, Stevens broke through when Sara Patino '29 found the back of the net from inside the 18-yard box, finishing a well-placed assist from Sofia Martinez '27 to give Stevens a 1–0 lead heading into halftime. Montclair came out with more intensity in the second half but was unable to convert any opportunities. Early in the half, Stevens extended their lead when Viktoria Matysiak '27 scored off a cross from Julianne Cifrodella '27, making it 2–0. As the half progressed, Montclair began to slow down due to having no available substitutes. Sara Patino '29 scored again after stealing the ball from Montclair, dribbling past defenders, and finishing a breakaway to push the lead to 3–0. Late in the game, Stevens added one more goal when Lia Pesiri '28 delivered a one-touch shot from the top of the box off an assist from Viktoria Matysiak '27. The Stevens defense remained solid throughout the match, holding Montclair to very few chances and securing a clean sheet.
