Women's Soccer Information
About:
The Club Women's Soccer Team here at Stevens is a club sport that competes within the Collegiate Casa Soccer league as of this spring. We compete against numerous teams from the Tri-State area, with the majority of teams being from New Jersey and New York. We practice on the DeBaun field and have all of our home games there, as well. We’re very competitive and we strive to grow and connect as a team with each practice and game played together. As a club sport, we welcome players of all skill levels, graduate and undergraduate students alike.
Frequently Asked Questions:
What league do you play in?
Our Girl’s Soccer team competes in the Collegiate Casa Soccer League, which we just joined in the spring of 2024. In this league, teams range from Connecticut to Florida, however, we mostly play against schools in New Jersey and New York.
When does the season start?
Our Fall season starts right after Labor Day and typically lasts until the last few weeks before finals. Our Spring season starts in February and lasts until the end of March to the end of April.
How often does the team practice?
We practice once to twice a week on DeBaun field. Our practices run for about an hour and a half in the late evenings with games scheduled for Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
How many games do you play?
We typically play about 5-8 games per season, as well as a few tournaments that occur in our new league. We have yet to participate in a tournament, but we plan on attending more events within the league in the future.
Does it cost money to be a part of the team? If so, how much?
Yes, each player pays approximately $140 each season. Each of these payments goes towards our games, transportation, trainers, and coach.
