January 31st - Giant Slalom:
Men
We saw some great work from the men skiers on Saturday. In 11th came Karol Dziedzic
(54.98 combined), followed shortly by Connor Magee in 14th (56.95) and Brian Williams in
22nd (59.20). Staying strong, we had Nathan Harris place 32nd with a time of 1:01.80 and
Ashton Merkert-Kuzman in 34th (1:02.60). The men's alpine team was ranked 4th overall out of
10 teams today.
Women
Our women's alpine team showed up for today's races, with Elizabeth Kirstein finishing
17th (1:03.60), Viktoria Matysiak at 31st (1:11.09), and Alice Zaytseva in 34th (1:14.27).
Unfortunately, some challenging conditions caused Ava Crocceti to DNF her second race.
Snowboarders
Snowboard racer Declan Best placed 14th with a combined time of 1:45.26. Overall, a
great performance from the Stevens racing team!
