January 24th - Giant Slalom:
Men
Despite some extremely cold temperatures, the men's alpine skiing division saw a great
performance from the Stevens athletes. Placing 11th overall was Karol Dziedzic with a combined
time of 1:27.59, Brian Williams in 14th (1:29.80), Nathan Harris in 19th (1:35.79), Ashton
Merkert-Kuzman in 27th (1:41.35), and Jonathan Maxemoss in 52nd (2:34.05). Unfortunately
Michael Folmer and Connor Magee were unable to finish their second runs.
Women
Our women athletes also put up some strong times, with all finishing their races. Viktoria
Matysiak placed 24th with a combined time of 2:00.70, followed soon after by Alice Zaytseva in
26th with a time of 2:01.61. Ava Crocetti finished 37th clocking in at 2:21.79.
Snowboarders
Declan Best finished 12th with a final time of 3:12.59.
January 25th - Slalom:
Due to severe weather this weekend, slalom on Sunday, January 25th was cancelled.
