Stevens came out strong in the first half, controlling most of the possession and keeping the ball mainly in Hofstra's half. Even though we had most of the momentum, we couldn't create many real scoring chances, and the half ended 0–0. Hofstra picked it up in the second half and spent more time attacking in our half, but our defense stayed solid and didn't let them score. With about 10 minutes left, Hofstra hit a shot from outside the 18-yard box that found the back of the net to go up 1–0. Stevens pushed hard for an equalizer in the final minutes, but we couldn't capitalize on our chances, and the game ended in a 1–0 loss.
