Hofstra got off to an early start scoring a goal at 13:55 remaining in the period. They followed it up with two more goals leaving the Ducks down 3-0. The Ducks fought hard at the end of the first period and it paid off with a power play goal at 2:56 by #72 Kevin McNamara assisted by #2 Dylan Faulhaber and #90 David Canales. The second period started with a score of 3-1 with Hofstra on top. Hofstra then furthered their lead to 4-1 with a power play goal at 4:30 in the second period. #14 Maciej Kowalczyk scored for the Ducks at 4:04 assisted by #8 Paul Golembiewski and #12 Nick Adams. The Ducks power play closed out the period with another goal with 30 seconds left in the period from Adams, assisted by McNamara and Canales. The Ducks left the period losing 4-3. The Ducks battled hard in the third period and managed to pull out 4 more goals to win the game. At 10:46, Canales scored with assists from Adams and #77 Cameron McIntyre. The game winning goal came from #89 John Iglar with a beautiful one-timer from Faulhaber. Canaled scored another power play goal to further the Duck's lead.
