The Men's Ice Hockey team, founded in 1991, is a club sport that competes in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Metropolitan Collegiate Hockey Conference (MCHC) against teams throughout the Tri-State area. It is a competitive, full-contact league. The teams home ice is Barnabas Health Hockey House at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. We welcome players of all skill levels. Graduate and undergraduate students are encouraged to contact us.

What league do you play in?
Stevens competes at the Division III level of the
Amateur Athletic Union College Hockey Stevens plays in the
Empire Collegiate Hockey Conference (ECHC).
When does the season start?
The season begins with practices starting after Labor Day each September and continue through the end of February, with five weeks off during winter break.
How often does the team practice?
The team practices on ice twice a week. Typically, practices take place later in the evening on weekdays, with games being on the weekend.
How many games do you play?
A season can range from 20-28 regular season games with playoff games adding to the schedule.
Does it cost money to play?
Yes, players fund a large part of the program through dues. Dues range from $1000-$1500, this ultimately depends on the number of players on the team. All competitive club teams receive a budget through Student Government to help off-set costs operating the team. However, individual players contribute to funding through individual member dues, team fundraising, and donations.
What does my fee include?
The fee covers all ice times, game officials, and transportation to and from games and practices. Jerseys, team equipment bags, and more are paid for by a separate one-time fee required from each player. Players are required to provide personal equipment (ie pads, skates, sticks) including a white helmet.
Can I come see a game or practice?
Of course! We encourage all prospective student-athletes to attend our games. Please contact the team President or Assistant Director of Campus Recreation for Club Sports to coordinate a game/practice visit. During that visit, prospective players and their parents will be invited to meet with the coaching staff and the team's captains.
