Baseball Falls Short to Rutgers in Double Header

The first of two games was a close game, Rutgers started their offense early scoring 2 runs in the first inning and 2 in the second. Stevens would score only 1 run in the second. After the first two innings, pitcher Jack Lane would continue to pitch for the rest of the game. He would start the comeback in the fifth inning where the momentum carried into the sixth where Pat McDonough, Zach Rimshnick, and Nick Ranaudo would score to give Stevens the lead 5-4 for the sixth. After giving up two more runs to Rutgers Lane would be pulled and Stevens was unable to comeback and ultimately lose 6-5. 
The second game started off strong for Rutgers again, scoring 4 of their first 5 batters in the first inning. Stevens wouldn't score until the third inning off a sacrifice fly from Mike Konopka to bring in Thomas LaPinta. Stevens would score one more int he fourth to cut the lead to 4-2. Pitcher Aidan Nestor would be taken out at the end of the fourth. Rutgers had another 4-run inning after in the fifth. Stevens would try to make a comeback in top of the seventh inning scoring 4 runs but would come up short and lose 8-6.
