Ice Hockey Loses 10th Straight Game

11/16 Stevens started off strong in the first period with a goal from #13 Bernard Vitale assisted by #90 David Canales. Stony Brook followed it up with a goal with 6:37 left in the first and a shorthanded goal with 1:42 left in the first leaving the period to end 2-1. Stevens pushed back with two goals in the second, scored by #2 Dylan Faulhaber and Canales. Stony Brook gained momentum toward the end of the second period with two goals with 4:41 and 1:37 remaining in the period. Stevens fought to tie the game back up in the third period with a power play goal from #21 Hayden Fitzpatrick. Stony Brook responded strongly and scored a goal with 11:38 left in the third period. The Stevens power play in an attempt to generate offense let up a goal with 9:13 left in the game. Stevens took some late penalties allowing Stony Brook to get two unanswered power play goals. The team fought hard but was unable to match the momentum of Stony Brook ending the game with a score of 8-4. The Ducks return to match up against Columbia on Friday 11/22, hoping to turn the season around.
