Ducks Fall to Stony Brook in Conference Matchup

11.13.24

11/3 Stevens fought hard in a challenging matchup against Stony Brook University, but ultimately fell short with a final score of 2-1. The first period remained scoreless, with both teams battling for control and playing strong defense. In the second period, Stony Brook broke the deadlock at 5:31, putting them up 1-0. Early in the third period, Stony Brook struck again, securing what would become the game-winning goal at 7:53, extending their lead to 2-0. Stevens responded with determination, and at 5:35, Maciej Kowalczyk found the net shorthanded with assists from Bernard Vitale and Hayden Fitzpatrick, closing the gap to 2-1. Despite the late momentum shift, Stevens couldn't overcome the deficit. Though the result wasn't in their favor, Stevens bounced back from a tough loss and put together a close game. The Ducks look to pick up a major win and turn things around next weekend when they take on the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers University.
