Ducks Blown Out By Columbia

10.31.24

Formerly known as Columbia Hockey club, the New York Collegiate Hockey Club makes their first appearance at Barnabas Hockey House in this Sunday night matchup. The NYCHC comes into the night averaging over six goals a game, proving to be an offensive threat. They made their mark early, scoring just two minutes into the game to take the first lead of the night. Dylan Faulhaber evened things up for the Ducks a minute later with his 3rd goal of the year. NYCHC then capitalized on two separate powerplays to take a two-goal advantage. Both teams added another goal before the end of the first to finish the period with the Ducks trailing by two. A quiet 2nd period saw NYCHC add two goals, and the Ducks add one of their own before the floodgates opened in the 3rd. NYHC won the game 9-4 with a total of 36 penalty minutes for both teams. Stevens returns to action next weekend with two road games against Conference member University of New Haven followed by Stockton University on Sunday the 27th.
