The Ducks split the first two meetings against the new conference opponent Rider. Stevens lost the first game by a score of 12-2. Ian Brodbeck, Connor Hull, Austin Hodges, and Patrick McDonough all had hits in the game, and the team as a whole reached base 10 times but could not get any momentum. The offense exploded in the second game, scoring 7 runs. The team combined to hit 10 hits, 5 of those for extra bases. Matthew Lauri helped lead this effort by hitting a home run and double, and Ian Brodbeck continued his stellar fall with 3 hits of his own. Jack Lane pitched the first 6 innings, allowing 2 runs, and Ian Brodbeck came in for the save in the 7th. The Ducks will look to win the three game series on Sunday.
