About:

The Stevens crew team is a co-ed club team practicing and racing out of Passaic River Rowing Association (PRRA) in Lyndhurst, NJ. We compete against other schools with novice teams and welcome anyone with or without rowing experience. In fact, majority of the team has no prior experience.

How often do you practice?
We practice on Saturday and Sunday mornings, from about 8am-12pm. We host dry land practices 2-3 times per week, with times varying based on team/gym availability (historically, it has been 9pm-10:30pm Tuesday and Thursday.

How often do you compete?
We have not been competing as much as we would like, however, we are looking forward to hopefully having several regattas this upcoming season. This past season, we had one competition against NYU.

How long is the season?
Water:

Our fall season begins in September and ends sometime in November, depending on the weather. Our spring season typically starts around spring break (mid-March) and continues until the end of April.
Land:
Depending on interest and team/gym availability, we may continue land practices after it gets too cold for the water. In the spring, we ideally begin practicing in February.

How much are dues and what do they cover?
Dues vary depending on the semester but usually fall around $250. Dues are needed to cover transportation, boat usage, and coaching.
