Stevens Sailing Competes at Webb Regatta

The Stevens sailing team traveled to Webb Institute for a full day of collegiate racing. The team boarded the bus and made the trip to Webb, where the sailors prepared their boats and got ready for a full day on the water.

Upon arrival, the team worked together to rig the boats and prepare them for competition. While the teams completed their preparations, sailors gathered for the pre-race meeting, where the sailing instructions and race procedures were reviewed. Once the instructions were given and all teams were ready, the fleet launched and headed out onto the water.

The conditions provided excellent opportunities for racing, with strong and consistent wind throughout the day. The favorable conditions allowed the sailors to complete the full schedule of races, giving each team multiple opportunities to compete and adjust throughout the day.

After a full day of racing, the competition wrapped up around 6:30 p.m. The Stevens team then packed up their gear and boarded the bus for the return trip.

Overall, the regatta provided Stevens with a productive day of racing in strong wind conditions and the opportunity to gain valuable experience competing throughout a full slate of races.
