This weekend, the Stevens sailing team traveled to compete in the Northeast Qualifier 1 Regatta. The day began with rainy weather and light, inconsistent wind, creating challenging conditions for the fleet. As the day progressed, the weather gradually improved, and the rain began to clear; however, the wind remained light and continued to make sailing difficult.

Because the wind conditions were not strong or consistent enough to safely and fairly complete the planned schedule, the fleet was only able to sail six of the sixteen scheduled races. Despite the limited number of races and challenging conditions, all five Stevens sailors made it onto the water and competed throughout the event.

After the six completed races, Stevens finished 2nd overall in the regatta. The team's strong finish in difficult conditions demonstrated its ability to adapt to changing weather and make the most of the racing opportunities available.
