Ducks win against Stony Brook!
The first period of hockey goes with no scoring. Both teams draw penalties, #56 of Stevens with a crosscheck, quickly followed by #64 of Stony Brook for tripping. To top it off, #93 Max Tucker drags an interference penalty with him, but the Ducks manage to kill the penalty off. Stevens starts the second period with a goal 7 minutes in from #18 Alex Carey, which goes unanswered, after 3 consecutive penalties from Stony Brook players. Second period ends 1-0, ducks leading. The third period arrives, unfortunately. #93 Max Tucker takes a 5 minute major for a hit to the head. Stony Brook instantly capitalizes, scoring just 10 seconds after the penalty. The Ducks manage to kill the rest of the penalty off. Right as the game became even, Stony Brook buries another one. Its a 2-2 game. #71 on Stony Brook takes a penalty, and all of a sudden, the Ducks are back on the offensive. Hayden Fitzpatrick, number 21, puts one in with 4 minutes left. The teams fight hard and push it to overtime. Time dwindling down, we push it to shootouts. The Ducks leave long island with a victory, with a phenomenal performance from the goalie, Jack Cosine.
