On Sunday, October 6th at 7 PM, the Stevens Women's Club Soccer Team started their 80-minute battle against Hofstra University. During the first half of the game, the Ducks fought hard with only one sub but Hofstra was able to score a goal. After half-time, the team started off strong again in the second half. They connected many passes and were able to split through Hofstra's defense, giving Sam Bryan, Madelyn Pagkalinawan, and Julie Cifrodella a few chances to get some shots off, but they were unlucky in getting a goal.
Thys Vanderschoot was fouled right outside the box, where Stevens was given a free kick.
Isabella Irwin, #16 was successfully able to put the ball in the back of the net, setting the score 1-1. The Ducks continued to fight throughout the second half but were unable to score again, leaving with a tie.
