Rutgers would start off strong and score their first batter to begin the game. Stevens would struggle at the plate for most of the game. Rutgers would continue to add to their lead with a run in the 2nd, 2 runs in the 4th and one more in the 7th. Stevens had a chance to comeback scoring one run in the bottom of the 7th with have bases loaded but would strike out looking to end the game and lose 5-1.
