The Stevens Archery team arrived at their first tournament of the semester at Atlantic Cape Community College. The team consisting of members Mia, Asher, Will, Brian, Dan and Morgan checked into the desk to receive their scoring sheets. We each assembled our bows and separated to our designated targets, where we introduced ourselves to the people we would be shooting with. The competition consisted of 20 rounds, three arrows each with a total of 600 points possible. The tournament started with four people to a target with line A-B shooting first and C-D shooting second. This went on for 20 rounds, where the team had to mentally focus down to the last shot as our arms tired out. It was a great achievement to see new members of the team be so successful and have fun. The team looks forward to attending the next tournament in November and improving even more.
